It's the day of love again~! We hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day with the one's they love. I love my paw-rents! 💓

Happy Lunar New Year!

Happy Lunar New Year! It's the year of the metal Rat. I wish all of my friends and family a happy, lucky, wealthy, healthy and prosperous throughout the year.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

RIP Jade

Today was a sad day for our family. Jade passed away suddenly. We are not sure what happened but I think she passed away peacefully in her bed. We assume that with all her surgeries that she had from the beginning of the year til now, that her little body couldn't take it anymore. We will definitely miss her dearly. Jade was my first dog. I remember getting her from the Today's Pet Store in Columbia, Md. She was very timid and sleeping but once she got use to living with us she turned out to be the most friendliest and hyper dog. She has the most lovable personality. She loved to play with her rope. We would try to hide it from her and she would always find it. Once she found it she would want us to throw it so she could play fetch. She would never really get tired. The kids loved playing fetch with her. Jade's other favorite thing to do was go on long walks to the park or around the neighborhood. It was our time together, no kids or Stitch. I really hope she is up in...

Wild Salmon Oil Soft Chews

Mama bought us some wild salmon oil to use for our coats and skin from Petsmart for $7.99. Stitch's fur has been a little coarse in certain areas on his back. Mama want's to see if this will help make it softer. Mom has been keeping up with his grooming needs to make him more presentable from shedding all over the house. =P He isn't a fan of the grooming but when it's done he feels so much better with less fur on his body in this super hot heat during the summer. Jade's fur is already pretty good, however, she does have dandruff. So hopefully the salmon oil will help with her skin's dryness. We just started taking the oil yesterday, so we will have to wait to see if it help our skin and coat conditions. Stay tuned~!

Grooming Stitch

Last week, mama went through a phase where she brushed me for a whole week, since I was shedding so much. Mom was so frustrated with my undercoat.  Mama here: I researched how to get Stitch's shedding under control. I watched a youtube video of this lady, who has 14 corgis, showing her weekly routine of what she would do to keep her corgi's coat under control and keeping them beautiful. Brushing with a brush, then with an undercoat comb, she used conditioner's and paw balm.  I can also use this technique on Jade, even though her grooming is a lot easier for me.  Anyways, mom bought the  undercoat comb  (target, $6.99), after brushing me for a week and combed me out in the backyard. I had so much fur come off of me, that it could have been another small dog. I felt so much better afterwards too! Then she bought waterless foam shampoo by  wahl  ($5.99) for me and cleaned me up last night. The smell was coconut lime verbana. She rubbed...

Greenbelt Pet Expo

Jade attended the  Greenbelt Pet Expo on Saturday June 1, 2019. It was her first outing since her surgeries. The expo was not too big, about a block, which had a good amount of friendly vendors. She met a few new people and dogs in the area. Most of the vendors were selling dog related products and the SPCA was there providing vaccinations for a small fee. I obviously had to get my puppy girl some treats. I even got to play in the Greenbelt dog park before heading home. It was an enjoyable day~! Please enjoy the photo's we took at the event. =)

Loyal Companion Grand Opening

Mama went to the grand opening of Loyal Companion this weekend in Rockville, Md. She picked up a free goodie bag with new treats and bought us some small toys. I already chewed up and tore up my blue birdy. Sister got the unicorn and we have the sock monkey left to play with. I can't wait for mama to open up the new treats for us to munch on~!

Mama's Birthday Party

Happy Birthday, MAMA!! Mama had a awesome party with lots of snacks, cakes, and delicious finger foods. Family and friends came over and even our cousin Alvin was here to play with Stitch and I. The party was unicorn themed, with so many unicorn decorations. I think mama went a little overboard but you know what, it's her birthday and she can do whatever she wants. This was the first time we met my cousin Alvin. He is a lab mix, and is the sweetest dog ever. He is 7.5 years old. Almost the same age as, Jade. He does like to whine a lot but is fun to run around with in the backyard. I think he really enjoyed roaming around freely, since he's from the city and doesn't get much unleashed time outside. We look forward to seeing him again.

Playing with mama in the backyard

Spending the afternoon with mama outside in the backyard. Stitch found a spot on the ground where he was going crazy over and so was Jade. The 80 degree weather was amazing and chasing each other around was fun. Jade was really happy to be able to come out to run around since it's been almost 3 months from being crated from her hip surgery. Her leg is progressing really well with the healing. She's lifting that right back leg up less and less which is good. I know she has been feeling left out from not being able to hang out as often. This coming weekend, their cousin Alvin will be visiting. He's a lab mix. This will be their first time meeting. So three dogs in the house. This will be fun for mama and dada. =/ Hopefully all three of them will get along and have an awesome time playing with each other in the backyard. We will keep you updated~! We hope you all have a great weekend.

Pochacco Notepad

Found these pochacco notepad around the house. I remember getting these in high school at Korean Corner in Rockville, Md. I never had a need to use them for anything. However, now, I'm using them to jot down notes for work or reminders of what to do after work. This notepad has been pretty useful the last few days.

Thank You Cards

Mama found these cute doggie Thank You cards at the TJ Max Home Sense store. The inside is blank and you can write whatever you want inside. They are so cute to send out to friends when you want to say thank you to someone. If you would like a 'Thank you' note, please send mama your info. I'd love to say thanks for being our fur friend~!

Jade's Post Surgery

Jade went to her first check up after her surgery to get new x-rays done. She is healing well and should continue to get better every day. She is starting to reuse her leg more often and still needs to do her exercises. Leash walks are limited to 10-15 minutes a day. Mama says I am improving, however, I still need to figure out how to flip my foot to the proper position. I tend to stand on the top of my foot, but the doc said that will take some relearning. Ohh and guess what? I finally get to take a bath. I feel stinky and dirty for the last 2 months. I can't wait to feel clean again! My next appointment will be in a couple of weeks and hopefully I will be at almost 100% b then.

Happy 1st Birthday, Stitch!!

It's my little brother's birthday today! Stitch is turning one year's old (7 years in dog years). He loves to run and play ball with me and the family. He also loves eating all my food even though he has his own food. Also any types of treats, makes him super excited and happy when mama decides to give it to us. This past year has been very entertaining with him coming into the family when we moved. I wasn't too. I wasn't too sure about him at first, if he was staying a short time or forever. Apparently, now I know he is staying forever, since noone has come around to claim him. LOL. He's not the easiest to get along with or play with. He is a bit aggressive when he plays and always tries to play bite me to be dominant but I hold my ground. Stitch has learned to potty train better these days. I think the pawrents found a crate and solution for him marking his territory within the past year. He is very smart in trying to bust out of his crate and opening...

Stitch's walk to Starbucks

Stitch went on an afternoon walk with the paw-rents in this lovely weather. The weather lately has been going crazy, one day is warm and the next it's windy and cold. Today was a nice day to walk to the Starbucks for some ice tea lemonade. I stayed with dada when mama went in to pick up the drinks. I can't wait for the weather to get warmer to go on more walks!

Jade's Physical Therapy

I have my physical therapy today. This past week of healing and recovery after the suture removal has been sorta good. I opened up a small wound and mama was not too happy about that. She put a bandage on it and the wound closed up but it's still a little fluidly. When we got to physical therapy, I got all checked in and waited for the doctor. She did some massaging on me which was super relaxing, I almost fell asleep. We were suppose to do a water exercise but since one of my sutures was still fluidly, I was not able to go into the water. Otherwise, we did some stretching and some balancing exercises for about an hour. It was a very productive morning. I felt a lot better but I still need to start using my leg more often. My next appointment for x-rays is next week. I will keep you all updated on my progress. =)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Photo by: K.Niles It's the day of love! 💓💓💓💓 So who do I love?? Everyone! I love my family, fur friends and anyone who needs some loving in their lives. Everyone deserves to be loved, in my opinion. If your single, in a relationship or married, today is a celebration of love for just about anyone who you impact in your life.  Spread the love today! 💖

Jade's Suture Removal

I had my suture removal this morning. It went well, no infections but I did get some swelling in my butt area, which caused some fluid  to build up and come out. Hopefully it heals in a couple days.  The vet said that I have to go to rehab next week to do some exercises to get me moving my back leg more often. I keep slipping it under my other leg but after the sutures have been removed I am standing on my back right leg more than before.  The rehab next week is for an hour and the will assess how I am doing then. I still have to wear the comfy cone for another few days. Atleast no more meds! YAY! Also, Mama has to do some range of motion stretches with me a couple times a day, this will help to get my leg muscles to loosen up for better mobility. I know mama is happy that I am getting better and that I can hopefully be able to play with her like normal again. I can’t wait to run around and not be in my crate all day anymore. More updates on my recovery next week! ...

Happy Chinese New Year~!

Happy Chinese New Year Everyone!  Gong Hai Fat Choi! This year is the year of the piggy. Mama and Dada's year! I'm so happy for them. Also this year, Stitch get's to celebrate the year with us. We will celebrating with lots of yummy food such as dumplings, fri ed rice, long life noodles, veggies and tons of meats to celebrate the upcoming year. The kids get little red envelopes with lucky money from the grandparents. Wearing red and gold colors are meant for good luck. If you would like good luck during your year, it is suggested to wear red every day of the year, if possible. This is also the day we come together as a family and get share what we are thankful for in life. I am thankful that my mama is taking care of me with my hip surgery and that I have my little brother to play with from time to time. We would like to wish everyone a happy and prosperous new year with great health, wealth, and love.

Jade's Recovery Process

Jade came home from surgery last Wednesday and has been doing pretty well. She was stubborn the first day taking her medicine, which made it frustrating for mama to get her to take them. Good news from the vet is that I got to keep my tail and they did not have to do anything to my left leg for now unless I do something else to myself. It looks like most everything shifted back into place when they moved my right hip back into place. The next day, mama gave me my medicine with wet food to make it easier to take than just swallowing it without anything. We have a good routine going now. I take my meds without any issues and I get to eat my yummy wet food mixed with kibble. Jade is still not putting down the leg. Mama has been helping me but gently pulling it down while I'm eating to let me know that I can put my leg down. I just don't feel like I'm ready to put pressure on it. However, it's only the beginning of week two of the recovery process. It will just take m...
