Jade's Physical Therapy

I have my physical therapy today. This past week of healing and recovery after the suture removal has been sorta good. I opened up a small wound and mama was not too happy about that. She put a bandage on it and the wound closed up but it's still a little fluidly.

When we got to physical therapy, I got all checked in and waited for the doctor. She did some massaging on me which was super relaxing, I almost fell asleep. We were suppose to do a water exercise but since one of my sutures was still fluidly, I was not able to go into the water. Otherwise, we did some stretching and some balancing exercises for about an hour. It was a very productive morning. I felt a lot better but I still need to start using my leg more often.

My next appointment for x-rays is next week. I will keep you all updated on my progress. =)

Oatmeal, Peanut Butter, Coconut Oil and Banana Dog Treats

Before the year ended I finished all the dog treats mama had made for me a couple of weeks ago. So she tried a new recipe but added a few things. Mama ran out of the baby oatmeal from the last batch. So she used regular Quaker oats and used the food processor to grind it finely. Anyways, we hope you enjoy making these treats as much as we did.  Ingredients:  1 1/4 cup Oatmeal 1/4 cup peanut butter 3 tablespoon Coconut Oil 1 medium banana Directions:  Grind up oatmeal. Place in large bowl, mix in banana, coconut oil, and peanut butter.  Create small balls and and then flatten them with a spoon Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Bake for 15-20 minutes. When done, leave in oven to cool. This makes the treats firm up.

Greenbelt Pet Expo

Jade attended the  Greenbelt Pet Expo on Saturday June 1, 2019. It was her first outing since her surgeries. The expo was not too big, about a block, which had a good amount of friendly vendors. She met a few new people and dogs in the area. Most of the vendors were selling dog related products and the SPCA was there providing vaccinations for a small fee. I obviously had to get my puppy girl some treats. I even got to play in the Greenbelt dog park before heading home. It was an enjoyable day~! Please enjoy the photo's we took at the event. =)

I'm a Pumpkin

Hi, I'm Jade, I'm a puppy. Well, I'm not really a puppy anymore at 5 years old, but I will always be my mama's puppy girl. I am a mix of Yorkie and Pomeranian.  So every year, mama dresses me up for Halloween. This year I will be rotating one of my costumes to be a pumpkin again. It wasn't easy getting me to keep the pumpkin hat on but mama was able to get a photo of me in my costume before I decided to take it off my head. I loves taking walks and playing with my rope. We take weekend strolls around the neighborhood with my family. I have met several new dogs along the way. I am very friendly and playful pup. If you give me food I will love you forever, what dog wouldn't?  I also spends time with my mama working out in the mornings. I would consider myself her  workout buddy that she can always depend on.
