Jade's Post Surgery

Jade went to her first check up after her surgery to get new x-rays done. She is healing well and should continue to get better every day. She is starting to reuse her leg more often and still needs to do her exercises. Leash walks are limited to 10-15 minutes a day. Mama says I am improving, however, I still need to figure out how to flip my foot to the proper position. I tend to stand on the top of my foot, but the doc said that will take some relearning. Ohh and guess what? I finally get to take a bath. I feel stinky and dirty for the last 2 months. I can't wait to feel clean again! My next appointment will be in a couple of weeks and hopefully I will be at almost 100% b then.

Happy 1st Birthday, Stitch!!

It's my little brother's birthday today! Stitch is turning one year's old (7 years in dog years). He loves to run and play ball with me and the family. He also loves eating all my food even though he has his own food. Also any types of treats, makes him super excited and happy when mama decides to give it to us. This past year has been very entertaining with him coming into the family when we moved. I wasn't too. I wasn't too sure about him at first, if he was staying a short time or forever. Apparently, now I know he is staying forever, since noone has come around to claim him. LOL. He's not the easiest to get along with or play with. He is a bit aggressive when he plays and always tries to play bite me to be dominant but I hold my ground. Stitch has learned to potty train better these days. I think the pawrents found a crate and solution for him marking his territory within the past year. He is very smart in trying to bust out of his crate and opening

Stitch's walk to Starbucks

Stitch went on an afternoon walk with the paw-rents in this lovely weather. The weather lately has been going crazy, one day is warm and the next it's windy and cold. Today was a nice day to walk to the Starbucks for some ice tea lemonade. I stayed with dada when mama went in to pick up the drinks. I can't wait for the weather to get warmer to go on more walks!

Jade's Physical Therapy

I have my physical therapy today. This past week of healing and recovery after the suture removal has been sorta good. I opened up a small wound and mama was not too happy about that. She put a bandage on it and the wound closed up but it's still a little fluidly. When we got to physical therapy, I got all checked in and waited for the doctor. She did some massaging on me which was super relaxing, I almost fell asleep. We were suppose to do a water exercise but since one of my sutures was still fluidly, I was not able to go into the water. Otherwise, we did some stretching and some balancing exercises for about an hour. It was a very productive morning. I felt a lot better but I still need to start using my leg more often. My next appointment for x-rays is next week. I will keep you all updated on my progress. =)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Photo by: K.Niles It's the day of love! 💓💓💓💓 So who do I love?? Everyone! I love my family, fur friends and anyone who needs some loving in their lives. Everyone deserves to be loved, in my opinion. If your single, in a relationship or married, today is a celebration of love for just about anyone who you impact in your life.  Spread the love today! 💖

Jade's Suture Removal

I had my suture removal this morning. It went well, no infections but I did get some swelling in my butt area, which caused some fluid  to build up and come out. Hopefully it heals in a couple days.  The vet said that I have to go to rehab next week to do some exercises to get me moving my back leg more often. I keep slipping it under my other leg but after the sutures have been removed I am standing on my back right leg more than before.  The rehab next week is for an hour and the will assess how I am doing then. I still have to wear the comfy cone for another few days. Atleast no more meds! YAY! Also, Mama has to do some range of motion stretches with me a couple times a day, this will help to get my leg muscles to loosen up for better mobility. I know mama is happy that I am getting better and that I can hopefully be able to play with her like normal again. I can’t wait to run around and not be in my crate all day anymore. More updates on my recovery next week!

Happy Chinese New Year~!

Happy Chinese New Year Everyone!  Gong Hai Fat Choi! This year is the year of the piggy. Mama and Dada's year! I'm so happy for them. Also this year, Stitch get's to celebrate the year with us. We will celebrating with lots of yummy food such as dumplings, fri ed rice, long life noodles, veggies and tons of meats to celebrate the upcoming year. The kids get little red envelopes with lucky money from the grandparents. Wearing red and gold colors are meant for good luck. If you would like good luck during your year, it is suggested to wear red every day of the year, if possible. This is also the day we come together as a family and get share what we are thankful for in life. I am thankful that my mama is taking care of me with my hip surgery and that I have my little brother to play with from time to time. We would like to wish everyone a happy and prosperous new year with great health, wealth, and love.
