Doggy Christmas Ornaments

Look at these cute doggy ornaments. Mama's friend sent her the brown one on the right. He know's that she loves dogs. The one on the left is the one mama found during the after Christmas sale at Target. I believe his name is Spot. He has Christmas lights wrapped around him. So I think mama decided to look for cute doggy ornaments and make it her theme for when she goes shopping for new ornaments. It's going to be awesome! I can't wait to see all the new one's she found this year for next years Christmas tree.

Napping by the Christmas tree

Mama was napping on the couch and I decided to lay next to her. The little ones were at school and I was spending some quality time with my mama. We were catching up on our Criminal Minds show. We are finally on season 7.

Rover.com: Elroy's Stay

Elroy arrived Thursday December 22, to stay with us for 5 days. He didn't care for me the first day but he adjusted to me. He really missed his family when they left him here. He would bark in the middle of the night for them. I thought it was a little annoying but once uncle Vincent came over he was more relaxed. I think it was because he stayed in the living room and there was someone there. It made him feel more comfortable. When he was here, mama gave us plenty of snacks and treats. He started even doing the lay down command to get treats from mama. We found out that he was a very hungry dog. He was really good at giving the puppy dog eyes to get more food. Mama didn't always give him yummy treats but she did end up making a new batch when he was here. We took a long walk together too! Since he is a little older than me, he was very tired when we got back. It was exciting to have another person to walk with on our weekend walks around the neighborhood. These last

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! I had a great Christmas with my family. I guess I was a good girl this year and Santa Paws sent me a crinkle dinosaur for my gift this year. I haven't been able to tear him apart like those other fluffy stuff animals that I usually get at the pet stores. However, he is awesome to chew on. Also, Mama and the family brought me a new bed for the holiday season. It's so warm and comfy. I've been sleeping on it everyday when I'm done running around the house playing with the kiddos. This has been a great Christmas and year for me. I've learned so much and met some awesome fur friends. Looking forward to the prospects of the new year!

Happy Howliday's Everyone!

One of the Christmas cards mama decided to make of me. Happy Howlidays!! I hope you have a great Christmas and an awesome 2018 New Year!

Lay Down Command Update

I'm getting a lot  better understanding the command 'Lay Down'. Mama has been baking treats, and those treats are my rewards for doing the command. The newest treat is gingerbread man shaped, made with Gerber oatmeal and Gerber baby food. Recently, I've been understanding the command a lot quicker than the first day I started. Mama, would say lay down and I'd so a little spin and sit sometimes, however, eventually, I would get the point and lay down so I can get my treat. I won't get my treat if I don't do the command properly. Sometimes I'm sneaky and just want to lay down and not want to get back up after I get my treat, cause you know I'm already in the position so just continue giving me treats... but that's not how it works. Mama gets so proud of me and calls me a good girl when I do the lay down command correctly. I think we will continue practicing. Mama wants to teach me how to roll over next. Maybe we will make a video of me using my n

4 Holiday plants that are bad for dogs

We all love the holiday season. However, there are some things you might not have considered about the holiday plants around your house with your doggy around. Some of these plants can cause pain and suffering when ingested. Here are 4 holiday plants that are bad for your dogs: Poinsettias - The leaves contain a sap that is toxic to pets when ingested. The symptoms can cause nausea and vomiting.   Holly - Causes intestinal upset, diarrhea, and excessive drooling Mistletoe - Causes intestinal upset Christmas Tree - the oils that are produced in the tree can cause excessive drooling and vomiting.  If you do have these plants around during the holiday. Please watch your pets when they are around them. Also, keep them in high places where your fur baby is not able to reach the plants.  We have our Christmas tree in the living area, in front of our tv, where we can watch our, Jade, when she is wandering around.  Have a happy howliday season!

Gerber Baby Food Treats Recipe

If you have baby food at home that is no longer being used. Our toddler doesn't eat the Gerber oatmeal anymore. Mama didn't want to just throw it away, which would be a huge waste since there was more than half a container left. She decided to use the leftovers for treats, which turned out great for me. Homemade treats for me that are probably healthier for me than the store bought stuff. Ingredients: 1 1/4 cup Gerber Oatmeal 1 container of Gerber baby food. Any flavor you like Directions:  Mix all ingredients together, where it makes a sticky dough. Roll the dough out flat, then use your cookie cutter to cut out shapes for the treats. Place treats onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.  Place baking sheet into oven at 350F, for 20 minutes.  Once done, turn off oven and let the baking sheet sit in the oven for the treats to dry out.  When the treats have cooled down. Enjoy!

Can I eat Pineapples?

Question of the day : Can I have Pineapples?  The answer is YES ! But in small quantities based on my body weight. Mama bought two bowls from the grocery store for herself. She said it was buy one get one free. So that means some yummy treats for me throughout the week. I had a few pieces cut up in bite size for my small mouth. I ate them all up. They were sweet and delicious. Benefits of eating Pineapples: Provides Vitamin C, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B6, and folate Provides antioxidants Reduces inflammation  Good for eyes

Lay Down Command

Mom taught me to do the 'lay down', on command. She used bacon as a way to teach me. It took me several attempts to understand what she wanted me to do. Most of the time I was sitting and not laying down when she used the hand gesture, with her palm flat and kinda towards the ground. She  would also use the words 'lay down' for the command. I eventually got it and the bacon treat was delicious~! We did this for several minutes this morning.  Mama is so proud of me that I was smart enough to figure it out in just a few attempts. However, I am still a work in progress. I love that she's teaching me new tricks. Although most of the time I try to be sneaky and try to get the treat out of her hand when she's not paying attention. 😜 Hope you all are having a bark-tastic week!

Netflix: Criminal Minds

Good morning! Netflix has the first 12 seasons of Criminal Minds. Mama and I have been binge watching when she is at home. Great quality time with the mama. Although sometimes I get tired and want to just fall asleep. The couch is so comfy. The pawents got it from LoveSac, it's enough space for the whole family to sit on. Also, it's modular! Anyways, back to the show, it's about the FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit, who does profiling on the bad guys in the show. I don't like the bad guys, they are mean and sick in the head. However, it makes your mind think about the cases in a real life scenario and how they use profiling to figure out who the unsub is in the show. We are currently on Season 5 and noticed they did a crossover with Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior. Apparently, you can watch that on Hulu and it looks like there is only 2 seasons of that. Then we also found out there is a Criminal Minds: Borders. We haven't looked into that one yet, but I'm

How often do you feed your dog?

I’ve been looking into how often Jade should be fed and what I have come to understand is that she shouldn’t be fed more than  twice a day based on her size. The articles I’ve read have also mentioned that she should be going to the bathroom maybe 2-3 times a day, if she only eats and drinks twice a day. So today I started training her to only eat when given food. Normally we just leave he food and water in her crate for whenever she felt like eating. The reason I started doing this training is to get her into the habit of being out and about more around the house instead of just being in the kitchen all the time. This way she can roam and I don’t have to worry too much about her going to the bathroom everywhere besides just outside. I normally work from home twice a week and would like to spend more time with her in the living room when I work. She did a great job today. No accidents and so far it worked out well. I’ll be doing this more often when I’m home. Jade also needs more

PetSmart Santa Photo

Over the weekend, mama took me to the PetSmart in our area for their free Santa Photo opportunity. I met some doggies while waiting for them to start. After we took our photos, we got a small bag of treats to take home. Ohh and then mama bought me a couple of things for Christmas as my gift. Looking forward to opening it up in a couple of weeks~! 🎄🎅

Thinking about Christmas.

Jade admiring the Christmas tree. What will I get from Santa this year? I’ve been a good girl. Maybe I’ll get some treats and some new toys to chew on. That would be awesome! Looking forward to spending the holidays with my family. Anyone have any great plans with their family this year?

Being Patient

Good morning everyone! Isn't it a great day. I'm being a good girl waiting for mama to finish working out. I placed the bone in front of her waiting for her to throw it for me. It was just another morning, running around in the basement.

Rover: Our first job.

We got our first job! YAY! We are taking care of a mix doggie named Elroy for the Christmas holidays. We are going to be roommates for 5 days. His pawents say he doesn't care for other dogs but I hope he likes me!
