Lucky Puppy Notes

This is such a cute children's book about a dog named Harry and how he gets dirty and then cleaned by his owners who didn't know who he was. The author of the book is by, Gene Zion. I love the cute illustrations of the book by Margaret Bloy Graham. It's so colorful and you can tell that Harry, the dog, is a fun loving curious dog. This book is a board book, that is short and easy to read to kids. My little owner loves this book. She reads it every night before she goes to bed.  You can purchase the book at on Amazon . 

I like yummy treats! Mama is going to start making homemade treats for me. Treats is going to consist of doggie recipes for homemade treats and dog food. Maybe I will bulk up some for the winter months. I'm looking forward to being mommy's taste tester. I'm sure whatever she makes will be delicious! yummy yummy...I can't wait~!

Mama took me to PetSmart for their Halloween Spooktackular Event on October 28, 2017. I got to take a photo op with, Chance, the dog with my pumpkin costume. I've never been to this event before but I'm glad I was able to attend and see many other fur friends at this event. After we took our photo. We did a little bit of shopping and picked up a couple of Halloween toys that were on clearance. During the event, they were giving out away coupons that had a buy one get one for 50% off. We got these two toys for $2.88. What a steal!

This morning, I smelled something on the floor that made me toss and turn all over the carpet. 

Who cut's my hair?? My mama and my paw-uncle, Vincent. Ever since I was little mama started practicing hair cutting on me. I have gone to PetSmart to get groomed but each time is about $52. Mama thought it would be good to try to do it herself and save some money on my grooming needs. She even gives me a bath, brushes my teeth and trims my nails, all at the same time. She's does EVERYTHING! She's like my super mom. Mama normally trims me up with scissors and paw-uncle goes back and use the clippers to get it short and even. When she cuts my hair, she is pretty gentle and I'm calm during the whole process. That makes me a good dog but sometimes I like to fluff and get hair everywhere, which she doesn't like. I'm supposed to have super long hair but I get pretty nappy under my legs, that she keeps it nice a short. I get a haircut about every 3 months, when it becomes un-ruly. RAWR!! I'm so tired today. Why does it have to be Monday again? This past weekend was not as eventful. Pretty much a lazy weekend for me. I did get to try some pork pate, that mama bought for herself but decided to give me a taste. I devoured it up in two seconds. I hope she gives me some more later. I am a spoiled dog sometimes.

On a day trip to Richmond, VA. We got this cute car coaster for the cup holders in your car. I'm not a sheltie but one of mama's good friend's has a sheltie. His  name is Hootenanny, Hootie for short. This coaster me reminded me of him and how I like to play with him. However, he doesn't like to play with me much. I might just be too hyper and in his face but I still love him.

Good Morning! It's workout day with mama! I'm always happy when I get to spend time with mama before the rest of the family gets up. She normally works out in the basement a few times a week at 5:00am. A little too early for me to wake up but I go use the bathroom and run around while mama does her routine. When I get tired I lay by the these weights to pretend like I work out with mama. Don't I look cute? 😜 30 Minute Workout Routine : 15 minutes treadmill, incline of 10 at 3mph 3 sets of 12 pushups 3 sets of 20 tricep dips 100 crunches 50 scissor legs 3 sets of 20 bicep curls, 12 lbs I live by the 20/80 rule for exercise/nutrition, especially when your trying to lose weight.  Live healthy and happy! 

I've been reading this book... Wait I can't read, I'm a dog. I mean mama has been reading this book about Ellie. She's a German Sheppard training to be a search and rescue dog. It is a simple book to read and the chapters are really short. It explains her life as a puppy and going through training of how to Find. I find it to be a cute book about dogs and there are apparently many more to this series. Soon I'll be able to watch the movie with mama. Hopefully she will be done reading this book soon for us to cuddle up on the couch for movie night!

Today I got to play fetch with my mama after she came home from this place called 'work'. She goes there every day except on the weekends when we go out for our walks. I look forward to when mama comes home to play with me after a long day of munching on my yummy food and napping. I have the life.  This is my yellow bone that my mama throws around for me to run and fetch it for her. I'm not sure why I find this fun and entertaining but it keeps me in tip top shape and it makes me happy. I get even more crazy when I have my rope! 

Happy Jade (Canon EOS M3) I'm such a happy dog, can't you tell by my smile? Look at my pearly white teeth! This is me spending time with my mama while she practiced using her camera, the Canon EOS M3. Mama loves taking photo's of me wherever we go. It's one of her favorite hobbies. I move around a lot but she's still able to get some good shots of me. 

I found these cute doggie magnets at the Container store , for $7.99.These are so colorful, which come in pink, blue, green and orange. They are pretty strong and can hold up multiple pictures on the fridge. Perfect for dog lovers! 🐕

Mama got me this new harness for our walks. It's so comfy and is not complicated to put on, like some harnesses. I just need to be calm when it is being placed on me when we go walking. The dog harness was bought from TJ Max in size small, since I am a tiny little girl. It's normally $12 online but we got it for $6.99. It is considered to be 'cute and in control'. Description : Durable Material Reflector Accents Easy-Clean Fabric Breathable Mesh Fabric Dual Steel Loop Attachments  The harness has Velcro to wrap around my body and also a snap to secure it in place. I like that there is two loop attachments to hold onto my leash when I walk. When my humans tug on me, it doesn't hurt.

Excited that I completed my first 3K with my human mama, for Paws for a Cause . Great event! We walked around the one of the neighborhoods that surrounded the Weber's Pet Supermarket in Fairfax, VA. We even got some free doggie swag from the event. I met plenty of dogs of all sizes and breads. I met a little corgi name Sydney, she is adorable and her human parents were very nice to walk with us. I was exhausted by the time we got home. I got a good workout in. I can't wait go to again next year! Gotta workout those puppy paws of mines.

Hi, I'm Jade, I'm a puppy. Well, I'm not really a puppy anymore at 5 years old, but I will always be my mama's puppy girl. I am a mix of Yorkie and Pomeranian.  So every year, mama dresses me up for Halloween. This year I will be rotating one of my costumes to be a pumpkin again. It wasn't easy getting me to keep the pumpkin hat on but mama was able to get a photo of me in my costume before I decided to take it off my head. I loves taking walks and playing with my rope. We take weekend strolls around the neighborhood with my family. I have met several new dogs along the way. I am very friendly and playful pup. If you give me food I will love you forever, what dog wouldn't?  I also spends time with my mama working out in the mornings. I would consider myself her  workout buddy that she can always depend on.
