Who does my hair?

Who cut's my hair??

My mama and my paw-uncle, Vincent. Ever since I was little mama started practicing hair cutting on me. I have gone to PetSmart to get groomed but each time is about $52. Mama thought it would be good to try to do it herself and save some money on my grooming needs. She even gives me a bath, brushes my teeth and trims my nails, all at the same time. She's does EVERYTHING! She's like my super mom.

Mama normally trims me up with scissors and paw-uncle goes back and use the clippers to get it short and even. When she cuts my hair, she is pretty gentle and I'm calm during the whole process. That makes me a good dog but sometimes I like to fluff and get hair everywhere, which she doesn't like. I'm supposed to have super long hair but I get pretty nappy under my legs, that she keeps it nice a short.

I get a haircut about every 3 months, when it becomes un-ruly. Here is a pic of the set hair cut accessories that mama has.

She bought these at Aldi for $19.99. It's specifically tailored to cut pet hair. This set is pretty nice for the price.

It comes in a hard plastic case with a cute design. There is even a place to put my name on the cover. On the inside there is a spot for everything and it keeps it every organized.

Definitely a great purchase for my doggie needs.

Oatmeal, Peanut Butter, Coconut Oil and Banana Dog Treats

Before the year ended I finished all the dog treats mama had made for me a couple of weeks ago. So she tried a new recipe but added a few things. Mama ran out of the baby oatmeal from the last batch. So she used regular Quaker oats and used the food processor to grind it finely. Anyways, we hope you enjoy making these treats as much as we did.  Ingredients:  1 1/4 cup Oatmeal 1/4 cup peanut butter 3 tablespoon Coconut Oil 1 medium banana Directions:  Grind up oatmeal. Place in large bowl, mix in banana, coconut oil, and peanut butter.  Create small balls and and then flatten them with a spoon Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Bake for 15-20 minutes. When done, leave in oven to cool. This makes the treats firm up.

The Dog Walker Company Harness

Mama got me this new harness for our walks. It's so comfy and is not complicated to put on, like some harnesses. I just need to be calm when it is being placed on me when we go walking. The dog harness was bought from TJ Max in size small, since I am a tiny little girl. It's normally $12 online but we got it for $6.99. It is considered to be 'cute and in control'. Description : Durable Material Reflector Accents Easy-Clean Fabric Breathable Mesh Fabric Dual Steel Loop Attachments  The harness has Velcro to wrap around my body and also a snap to secure it in place. I like that there is two loop attachments to hold onto my leash when I walk. When my humans tug on me, it doesn't hurt.

RIP Jade

Today was a sad day for our family. Jade passed away suddenly. We are not sure what happened but I think she passed away peacefully in her bed. We assume that with all her surgeries that she had from the beginning of the year til now, that her little body couldn't take it anymore. We will definitely miss her dearly. Jade was my first dog. I remember getting her from the Today's Pet Store in Columbia, Md. She was very timid and sleeping but once she got use to living with us she turned out to be the most friendliest and hyper dog. She has the most lovable personality. She loved to play with her rope. We would try to hide it from her and she would always find it. Once she found it she would want us to throw it so she could play fetch. She would never really get tired. The kids loved playing fetch with her. Jade's other favorite thing to do was go on long walks to the park or around the neighborhood. It was our time together, no kids or Stitch. I really hope she is up in...
